We're back at it with our weekly favorites! What are some things that are getting you through your week? Let us know in the comments.
How I Built This - NPR Podcast: I am a sucker for good podcasts! I'm an even bigger sucker for hearing how everyday people built some of the biggest companies and How I Built This combines those two passions. Hearing other entrepreneur's stories, their tribulations, their successes - it is so empowering!
Celery Root I've been working on a cleanse for about three weeks and celery root has been an awesome addition to my life! I had never heard of it until three weeks ago and holy moly it is delicious. It's proven to be a great substitute for potatoes. Major bonus: it has been both husband and toddler approved!
What I know For Sure - By Oprah Winfrey: I was craving some inspiration from people that have been able to change the world and when Oprah comes up randomly 3 times in 2 days you listen to the universe and read her book! Easy read and I mean...it's Oprah, how could you go wrong?
Rainbow - By Kesha: Kesha is the last person I thought I would relate to on a deep, spiritual level but her most recent album has certified her as my absolute soul sister. It’s the perfect mix of dancey, upbeat jams and empowering survivor ballads. I love Kesha. I love her new music. I love that she chose to harness her trauma as a source for elevating her craft. Give it a listen, you won’t be disappointed!
Of Mess and Moxie - By Jen Hatmaker: If you're not familiar with Jen Hatmaker's honest, hilarious take on all things parenting, spiritual, and just day-to-day life I highly recommend following her on social media right now! Her latest book Of Mess and Moxie did not disappoint. The book is a collection of essays in which Jen parlays her own triumphs and tragedies into a sigh of relief for all normal, fierce women everywhere
Damn Delicious - Cooking Blog: I'm going to let you all in on a secret...I would literally not know how to cook if it wasn't for this website. I'm dead serious. I've probably made 60% of the recipes on this site and they never ever disappoint! Be sure to check out my favorite: Broccoli Quinoa Casserole. My three-year-old begs for this weekly!
